Mystery Answer Ball

Ask something lighthearted, give the ball a tap, and see what chance has to say. Just for fun.

Your question stays on this page. It is not saved, uploaded or included in analytics.

What will the ball say?

Just entertainment — not a prediction or factual advice.

A little uncertainty, a little amusement

The Mystery Answer Ball contains 1,000 original short playful responses. A large YES, NO, MAYBE or ASK AGAIN appears inside the ball, with its accompanying phrase below. It cannot understand a question or know the future. Use it for a playful prompt, not for health, money, safety or other important decisions.

All 1,000 responses are bundled locally and equally likely: each has a 1 in 1,000 (0.1%) chance per draw. The collection holds 400 YES, 400 NO, 150 MAYBE and 50 ASK AGAIN responses, so the ball answers YES 40% of the time, NO 40%, MAYBE 15% and ASK AGAIN 5%. Selection uses the browser's cryptographic random generator through rejection sampling. Your question does not affect the draw. There are no AI calls, and the question is never saved or sent to analytics or a server.

How to use it

  1. Think of a harmless question, or type it into the optional field.
  2. Tap the ball or press Reveal answer.
  3. Read the answer as entertainment, not advice.
  4. Ask again for another independent response, or Clear to remove the question and result.

Playful questions to try

  • Will our picnic include cake?
  • Should my game character wear the silly hat?
  • Is tonight a good night for a comedy?
  • Will the next round bring a surprise?

Questions

Does the ball read my question?
No. The text is optional and is not passed to the random selection function. You can leave it blank and get the same kind of random answer.
Can the same answer appear twice?
Yes. Each draw is independent and responses are not removed after use.
How often does the ball say yes?
Often. 400 of the 1,000 responses are YES and 400 are NO, so a clear yes or no arrives 80% of the time. MAYBE appears 15% of the time and ASK AGAIN 5%.
Is this AI or fortune telling?
Neither. It is a local random selection from a fixed list, presented with an animated ball. It offers no factual insight or prediction.
How do I remove my question?
Press Clear to empty the field and result. Reloading or leaving the page also discards it; it is not stored.
