Weights

With Weighted chances on, an entry with weight 3 gets a slice three times as wide as weight 1, and three times the chance.

No repeats

Each winner is hidden after it's drawn. Undo brings back the last one; Restore all resets the session.

Limits

Up to 500 entries of 120 characters each. Share links carry up to 100 entries.

Build a draw that fits your list

  1. Paste one option per line, or edit the existing list. Check for duplicates: two identical lines are two separate entries, not one combined option.
  2. Open Advanced options before spinning. Normal mode keeps winners eligible; No repeats hides every selected winner; Tally keeps entries eligible and tracks their wins.
  3. Choose one winner or up to 10 per spin. Multiple winners are selected without replacement from the eligible entries in that draw. With weights enabled, each successive pick uses the remaining entries’ weights.
  4. Spin, then review the result and history. Reveal now skips the wait, not the draw. In No repeats mode, Undo reverses the previous change and Restore all makes hidden entries eligible again.

Equal chances or deliberate weighting?

With Weighted chances off, each eligible entry has the same chance. Turn it on only when unequal chances are intentional: weights 1, 1 and 3 give first-pick probabilities of 20%, 20% and 60%. Slice widths follow those weights. Hidden entries are excluded from both the draw and its odds.

Use equal chances for a classroom turn order; No repeats for a sequence of presentation topics; or explicit weights for choosing among activities with different priorities. Weighting does not rank skill or predict outcomes.

Saving is local; sharing is a choice

Your working list and settings persist in this browser when storage is available. Save a named wheel in My wheels and export a backup for safekeeping: clearing browser data, private browsing or storage limits can remove local saves.

A wheel share link includes eligible labels and draw settings in its URL fragment, not your history. Anyone with that link can read those labels, so leave out private names or sensitive details. The recipient previews the snapshot and chooses whether to load it; it does not silently replace their wheel. Sharing a result instead shares the recorded winners.

Custom wheel questions

Can I pick the same person twice in one spin?
The same entry cannot be drawn twice within a multiwinner draw. Duplicate entries can still represent the same person, so tidy the list first.
Does a longer animation change the odds?
No. Secure browser randomness selects the winners before the animation starts. Duration and sound affect presentation, not selection.
Which related tool should I choose?
Use the name picker for a roster, the image picker for visual options, or team picker to split people into groups rather than draw winners.
Where can I check how selection works?
The fairness explanation covers secure sampling, weights and duplicate entries. It explains the implementation, not a guarantee about any particular outcome.
